                   ABOUT OUR BEAUTIFUL COMMUNITY

Oyster Rock, The Woods at Oyster Rock, and coming soon, The Estuary at Oyster Rock
Oyster Rock is a community that was originally comprised of 81 lots and established in 2000. With the
addition of The Woods at Oyster Rock, we are now a community of 90 properties that include homes and
lots that are yet to be developed. In November, 2013 the Oyster Rock Property Owners Association was
formally turned over to the residents of Oyster Rock and a newly elected Board of Directors took over the
management of the community affairs. Soon the community will have an expansion of an
additional 21 lots for single home dwellings in the Estuary at Oyster Rock.
Location, Location, Location
We all know how important location is as it relates to the value of our homes, and this community certainly
has it. Just east of Route 1 near Milton Delaware and just minutes from the beach side resorts of Lewes
and Rehoboth make this beautiful community of 3/4 acre lots very desirable. We enjoy direct access to
fishing and boating on the Broadkill River by using the boat launch area at the end of Oyster Rocks Road.
About Milton, Delaware
Located at the headwaters of the Broadkill River, Milton was settled by the English in 1672. It became
famous for building sea faring ships that circled the globe. Known "As Delaware's Smallest Wonder"
Milton now features over 150 "historical" homes, is home to the Dogfish Head Brewery, has beautiful
parks, fishing, boating, bed and breakfast inns, restaurants and is minutes from Lewes and Rehoboth
Beach.
Sense of Community
Our neighbors care so deeply about our community that we gather twice per year to hold Community
Clean-up Days. These well-attended, well-organized events allow us to work together to spruce up the
neighborhood and keep it looking beautiful all year round. Each event is followed by a barbeque or pot
luck lunch during which time our neighbors can get to know one another and build new friendships. In
addition to the community clean up events, we also make it a point to have a community gathering once
per quarter. While these events are usually planned and coordinated, you will see that there are
numerous impromptu gatherings around back yard fire pits that spring up without notice...that is how our
community rolls...just getting together to hang out with each other for no real reason. It's one of the many
ways we make our community stand out from the others.
